Open Positions:

Logistics, Shipping & Warehouse Role - Open (Hourly $15-$25/HR)

Role

The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with logistics and shipping. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the the receiving & shipment of goods , processing shipments and conducting other tasks related to shipping. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to manage complex shipping workflows. You will be comfortable wearing many hats and dealing with the various elements of the order chain process including finance, invoicing, and shipping. You should also be a team player with a knack for getting things done consistently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Local, full time in office & warehouse.

  • Manage setting up shipments, shipment communication with dropship suppliers, packing and shipping orders.

  • Monitor all shipments and ensure they are picked up in a timely fashion.

  • Ensure that each shipment matches the order totals and correct items ship.

  • Input data entry to keep record of each shipment on file.

  • Booking and scheduling shipments with UPS/FEDEX and other shipping & freight carriers

  • Work closely with the rest of the Pallet Fly team to ensure that the shipments are being processed properly.

  • Identify a new warehouse space and assist in building a warehouse staff once a warehouse is acquired.

  • Identify new shipping software and carriers to add to our services and streamline shipping.

Requirements

  • 2+ years proven experience in a logistics / shipping role.

  • Great attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks (Google Sheets a plus).

  • Outstanding work ethic.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Problem solving ability.

  • Ability to adapt to new situations as they arise.

Compensation

  • Hourly $15-$25/HR

Full Stack Developer - Open (Salary $75,000-$90,000)

The role:

As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

The mission:

Recreate an existing e-commerce web service from scratch on a modern stack. Migrate existing client and inventory database.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CEO, technical team and project manager to align and execute on roadmap milestones.

  • Design & Develop client-side and server-side architecture

  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design

  • Build and consume APIs effectively

  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

  • Automated testing

  • Security and data protection awareness

  • Build features and applications with a responsive design

  • Write technical documentation

Requirements

  • Self-Starter who is hands-on and self-motivated

  • 2+ years proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role

  • Strong technical analysis and architectural skills

  • Knowledge of back-end languages and frameworks (we use Python & Django)

  • Knowledge of JavaScript and any framework such as Vue.js, React, etc

  • Familiarity with relational databases (we use PostgreSQL)

  • Experience working in Agile and related tools (we use JIRA, Trello, Github)

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Great attention to detail

  • Computer Science Degree or equivalent

Secretary / Bookkeeping Role - Filled (Hourly $18-$25/HR)

Role

The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to product clear financial reports. You will be comfortable wearing many hats and dealing with the various elements of the order chain process including finance, invoicing, and shipping. You should also be a team player with a knack for getting things done consistently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Local, full time in office

  • Manage invoicing, billing and payment processes

  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable

  • Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings of company

  • Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly and yearly)

  • Provide support to the sales and purchasing teams

  • Booking and scheduling shipments with UPS/FEDEX and other shipping & freight carriers

  • Work closely with the rest of the Pallet Fly team to ensure that the day to day admin tasks are being executed

  • General admin tasks such as dealing with mail, filing paperwork, data entry etc

  • Customer service support - answer phone calls, emails

  • Ensure timely processing of payroll

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

  • 2+ years proven experience in a commerce based role

  • Great attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks (Google Sheets a plus)

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Problem solving ability

  • Ability to adapt to new situations as they arise

Compensation

  • Hourly $18-$25/HR

Note: Although these roles can be done remotely, it is expected that the successful candidate will be available for in-office meetings on a regular basis.
